Overview

Cake Origin is a full-stack web application built to simulate a real-world cake shop ordering system, covering both the customer ordering experience and internal admin management.

The project was designed as a demonstration of end-to-end product thinking, showcasing how a small bakery business can manage online orders, products, and inventory through a single digital platform.

Problem Statement

Many local cake shops rely on manual processes such as phone calls or messaging apps to take orders. This leads to several operational challenges:

• Orders are often miscommunicated or missed
• No centralized system to manage products and availability
• Difficult for shop owners to track inventory status
• Poor customer experience due to lack of online ordering

The goal was to build a system that simplifies ordering for customers while giving business owners visibility and control over their products.

Solution Overview

I built a web-based cake ordering system that provides:

• A customer-facing website to browse cakes and place orders
• An internal admin dashboard to manage products and inventory
• A clean, responsive UI suitable for both desktop and mobile users

To make the project easy to evaluate and demonstrate, both customer and admin flows are included within the same application.
